My Creative Space

Its Thursday so I am going to do a My Creative Link post so I can show what I have been doing this week for my mum's friends little girl who's Birthday is not to far away!

I made a flower template & cut out all the scrap pieces of fabric that were left over from making the dress  added a little yoyo & attached it all together on the head band with a little pink bead.

When its to cold a little white t-shirt could be added or when she has got taller a nice pair of shorts would match nicely.  Gosh I wish I was 2 again!! :))

Thanks Felicity  for sending me the info you are one in a million! :)) I will be back next Thursday with another  My Creative Space !! See you then:))

Baby gift!

My friend has just had a little baby girl who I am going to be meeting this afternoon (so excited) don't you just love the smell of new born babies, I do it reminds me of when my kids were little some times I wish I could bring those days back!!

Any way I just had to get some of my fabrics out to put a little something together for her so thought I would share it with you;  I hope you like it?

She won't be able to wear it for another 5 months as she is only 5lb 7oz (tiny) but I thought it would be nice to put away for summer.

I might make a few more of these sets now so keep an eye out :)

Have a great weekend.

Pretty Pink

I thought I would try the pink spotty cupcake cases today, they are so pretty, I didn't want to pour the cake mixture into them at first, glad I did though as they turned out a treat.

So as the cases stay nice keep the temperature of the oven at 170deg and once you get to 15 minutes just keep your eye on them so don't leave in to long & spoil the pretty cupcake cases.

My recipe is from the cupcake cook book so simple & tastes lovely.

2 3/4 cups plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
200g softened butter
1 3/4 cups caster sugar
4 eggs
1 tbls vanilla extract
1 cup milk

Sift flour & baking powder.  In a separate bowl cream butter, add castor sugar bit at a time beat for 2 mins till fluffy & sugar dissolves.  Add eggs one at a time beat for 1 min add vanilla extract mix till combined.

Add a third of flour to creamed mix & beat.  Add half milk mix till combined, Repeat until  milk & flour all used don't over beat as mixture might toughen.

Spoon mix into cupcake cases only three quarters full bake for 15 to 18 mins in a pre heated oven temp at 170deg & hey presto all done!!

It makes heaps of cupcakes so I would half the ingredient unless you want lots, then go for it well enjoy I am off to have a taste before they all go as they won't last long in my house :)))
